P.G. county over all is not a bad place. I think it sometimes gets a bad rap for the simple fact that it's a highly urbanized area (Black). I do feel that P.G. does needs to be more of a diverse community. Diversity will help usher in different opinions and views on various matters. I think that is sorely lacking in this county. MHO is that the people of P.G. need to stop making things a race issue. Also other counties such as Arlington, Fairfax, Montgomery need to realize that it's more to this county then you think then just a county full of black people. We are educated and were proud. We know not everything is perfect but we do have a lot change on the horizon. I'm a proud of growing up in P.G. everyplace is going to have it's negatives. I truly believe that this county is heading in the right direction. From Fort Washington to Andrews AFB area to Laurel. There are billion dollar projects that will help to change the spectrum of the county.

What does being black have to do with any of this ,only one poster is crying race.As for your BILLION dollar projcts ...great, what are they doing to improve education or to stop crime?

I moved to this area because of the diversity, what I didn't know is that I was going to get a bunch of crime, etc. with it. I think most people feel that way.

I just moved to Landover right on the Morgan Boulevard metro station on the blue line. Literally right on it. A new apt complex just opened a few months ago and there are still alot of vacancies. The apartments are Camden Summerfield. Most Camden communities around the country are very nice. It's south of stadium so it's a bit isolated from the rest of area code 20785. It's not bad IMO and I like it. But I still won't walk to let's say Central Ave at night because it's a very heavily forested area. I wish they had more shopping areas(groceries) for residents around Morgan BLVD station because they are starting to build residential areas around it. Other than that, I have no problem with it at all.
