Default Child care in Towson

Hi,

My family and I are moving to Towson in August and we have a 16 month old child. We are looking for daycare (either a home daycare or a facility) that comes highly recommended for this age. We'd like to have a place that offers the option of half a day instead of the full day during the week. I have found a lot of places for 2 years and older but not for younger. We also would like your opinions since we are looking for a trustworthy place.

Another possible option is a nanny. Any recommendations for referral services?

We'd really appreciate your help. I've researched this forum for advice on where to move and it has been really helpful. Thank you. I hope we can get some great advice on this topic also.

Kendra

Here's the official LOCATE child care website from the Maryland Committee for Children. It lists all licensed child care providers (both agencies and home care) and ages of children.

Thanks. I will look into it.

I was hoping to see if any one had personal experiences and recommendations for child care. Sometimes places/nannies sound or look good but reality can be different.

I will be relocating to Maryland this summer and we have purchased a home in Towson.

Have you had any luck finding child care yet? I have heard really good things about Apple Tree Child Care Center in Timonium and have my 2 younger children on the list to go there this fall. They do offer a part time program.

I am also possibly looking for a nanny to help out with getting my kids to and from school/preschool. We are also considering hiring a full time nanny and having the younger ones go to preschool 2-3 days a week. Have you had any luck finding a nanny agency?

Thanks.
