Default safe area near cheverly, md

hi everybody,

I m moving to maryland with my family. I got job in cheverly . Can anybody guide me which area will suit me in terms of safety, transportation accessibility and cost of living. My kid is of 6 yrs which makes me concerned about schooling as well.

Cheverly itself is a lovely area to live, if you can afford it. Old houses, ample sidewalks, long-time residents, great sense of community. Cheverly also has a metro station and a bus line running down the "main" street.

I would guess that the elementary school that includes Cheverly is probably fine. Search the archives and look for my other posts which explain how school statistics in the D.C. area function.

Any place within 20 miles of Washington DC is going to have petty crime such as car break-ins. If you don't leave stuff if your car though, then you'll be fine.

Other towns within good commuting distance to Cheverly are University Park and College Park.
