Default Things to do in and around Ellicott City

Hello! I will be moving to the Ellicott City area this summer, and was hoping to get some suggestions about places to go, eat, things to do, etc. in the area. I have a 6-year old, so kid-friendly places and activities anyone could suggest (indoors and out) would be fantastic!

Also, if anyone has personal experience with Hollifield Station Elementary School, I would love to hear what you think of it.

Thanks so much!

There are various parks around - Centennial Park is pretty large. There's a Y if you want to enroll in any swim classes or something. You can always check Parks & Rec and see what things they have planned for the summer.

For special, there is Clark's petting farm (or whatever they're calling it) out on Rt 108 - they've been buying up a lot of the old structures from the Enchanted Forest and moving things out there.

While it would probably bore the stuffing out of a 6yr old, if you have time and like antiquing, Main St is a really cool place full of antique and 'quaint' shops, built into the rock walls.
