Question about Catonsville, MD (Frederick: house, neighborhoods, elementary school)

We have fallen in love with a house in Catonsville. We have been up there to check out the town- and so far we like what we see. The problem is that we have no idea about the different neighborhoods. The home we are interested in is off of Bishops Lane on Bloomingdale Ave- close to Frederik rd. Is this a safe and good area to live in? Also any insights on Catonsville Elementary School would be greatly appreciated.

This is a good area that is safe and that you would probably enjoy living in. I don't know much about Catonsville Elementary, but given the area I 'd imagine it would be a pretty good school.

That is an excellent area and excellent school. You would be very safe in that area. Make sure you go to Jennings restaurant on Frederick Road.

Check out Catonsville.org. It's the Chamber of Commerce website and will give you a good idea about what is going on in the area. You should try to come into town for the 4th of July parade and Fireworks. They are wonderful and you will get a good sense of the community. I have friends who live very close to the house you are looking at and they love the area and the schools. If I can offer any other info, please let me know. Bridget
