MD teachers (find a job, transfer, education)

Are there any exceptions to teaching in MD w/o a MD certificate if you teach in a high-needs area? I'm not sure if I will have my MD certificate by the end of August and I have been applying to several districts in the area. I have a TX certificate for all core subjects and ESL for 4-8 grades. I am also young, black and single. Don't know if that helps.

I want to say that I know of a couple of teachers that were not certified in their first or so, but I cannot fully remember. I know this is a different state but my wife teaches in PA and she has been teaching for two years without being fully certified because she needed a couple of things for her certificate to transfer from NY to PA. She was issued a temporary certificate. You should be able to find something useful on the MD education department website.
