Default What is the community like in the Calverton subdivision in Montgomery County?

My husband and I have been renting an apartment in Maryland for a year now, and we're looking to move closer to DC. We are currently considering some homes in the Calverton subdivision on the Montgomery County side. Does anyone know current information about this neighborhood? Is is safe and a nice place to raise children? Are there concerns you would have?

I'm asking because we heard that someone who moved out of the Calverton subdivision on the PG county side said that the neighborhood was not good anymore (not sure what he meant specifically), and I'm concerned this might also be true on the montco side?

Thanks for your help and information!

I'd like to know too. The county line runs right through the neighborhood, so I'm not sure there all that different. My daughter went to Calverton Elementary for a few years. Anyways, I always thought the area was nice.
