Default Kensington - Chevy Chase View

We like a house in this area and are planning to make an offer. Is anybody familiar with the area? We would love some feedback as we are moving from out of state

Its great you live there!

When we came to look at the house it seemed a nice quiet area. And the proximity to Rock Creek park was attractive. It did not seem like we have to worry about crime. I looked at crimereports.com and I saw many reported vehicle thefts. I guess I just want assurance that it is a safe place to live. And if it is a family friendly neighborhood. And if you can walk/bike to places? I guess I would love any information at all.

There have been a rash of vehicle thefts as of late. However, there seems to be two constants- the owners left the doors unlocked and left their GPS gadgets in plain view.

Its very safe and family friendly although the odd burglary happens as much as anywhere. As its classic suburbia, there is not much to walk to in terms of commercial stuff, although you can if you are up for a hike. You can walk to either the Grosvenor or Medical Center Metros in a half hour. With a bike, you can do better.

All in all a nice place to live.

Send me a PM if you have any other questions.
