Default Good Auto Insurance Companies for MD

I just moved here from California and I was informed my Auto Insurance is about to go up but 500 or so bucks. Currently, I have Esurance. I canceled the policy. I have until July 31st to get a new policy so my coverage won't lapse. Any advice on companies that have good rates in Maryland?

I have Erie Insurance, GEICO is big around here, so is State Farm and All State. I've rate shopped before and have found that they are all comparable with rates. Coming from CA I'm a little surprised your rates went up that much. Baltimore City and Prince George's County tend to have higher rates because of the car theft problem in those areas.

I have Erie--their auto insurance rates were very close to what we paid with Allstate and seemed about the same for what everyone else was charging. However, their homeowner's insurance was much cheaper so overall they were the best deal for us.
