Few Essex questions (Baltimore, Dundalk, Middle River: rentals, houses, good schools)

So I'm looking to move to the Essex, Middle River area hopefully. I HATE to bring up race questions, but I have a few. According to the southern poverty law center who tracks racist organizations Baltimore has a skin head and neo-nazi groups, Essex has the Ku Klux Klan, Elkridge has a neo-nazi group, an Sharpsburg has a Ku Klux Klan group, an a few more across MD. So, I was wondering, is this area extremely racist more specifically the Essex, Middle river area? We are a white family, but I don't want my kids growing up around racist rednecks. Or are these hate group just like members of like 5 that have no affect on the community an schools? Also, is Essex Community College good/safe?

Hi, I have resided in Eastern Baltimore county and never seen any such things mentioned above. Like I tell everyone; Essex, Dundalk and Middle River for years has always been given a bad rap. Essex elementary is one of the finest schools and CCBC Essex campus is very safe. People of all diverse backgrounds live here and get along. Also the imfamous trouble zones have been demolished. It is an area of hard working families. Good schools,churches and libraries. There may be like anywhere some young trouble making punks but they should never intimidate anyone.

Thanks for the info, very helpful. We are looking to rent, preferably in the $1000-$1500 range, single family home, with a fence for the dogs in the middle river, essex, rosedale area. I've looked on craigslist, but not many were available, any recommendations of places or sites to look for?
