No sweat!
One day all this stuff will be in the history books. Looked at in the same puzzled way as when I read that back in the old days if you were sick the doctor would bleed you to get the bad blood out and that would make you get well.

When you posted something about Malcolm a while back I had my suspicions. lol
Did you know there's going to be a PGC black history museum in Brentwood. Fund-raising to begin for African-American museum
I love hearing about our history from the people who actually lived it. I will sit for hours and listen to my grandfather (who is 91 yrs old) even though I've heard the stories before. He is my touchstone and he keeps me grounded. Like familymatters, I do truly appreciate all the people who made sacrifices for me - from those we know about, like Malcolm and Dr. King, to the countless that we don't know about. It is important for us to know and honor our rich history. As Malcolm said: "Just as a tree without roots is dead, a people without history or cultural roots becomes a dead people."

RFMD - What can I tell you? I saw that ignorant, baseless, stereotypical, blanket comment and ignored it. We can't save everyone from themselves. I'm glad Xus doesn't live in PG. Xus is just that type of people that I don't want my children around. People who generalize. People who compartmentalize. People who don't do enough research before drawing conclusions and lazily allow Fox News sound bites to dictate how they feel about themselves and others.
As long as he is benefiting from this system and his family/ancestors did not have to endure the vestiges of racism/discrimination everything is alright with him. He is sitting from afar after becoming conditioned mentally and judging.
I don't like conversing in this black/white manner however I realize that is how we are perceived in this country. This country was built upon this principle
When you specifically refer to this county being predominantly African Americans the perceptions stereotypes etc are there and obvious.

I am starting to see why folks donot like pg county and it have nothing to do with the sorry excuse which is crime becuase we all know crime is everywhere. It have to do with race. America is one of the only country who judge people base upon their skin color. In other country people are judge base upon the class not color. Most people in America can care less about your class but more about your color.
