LOL, that's not true either. I'm 44 and spent my whole life in PG. Riverdale, Beltsville, Laurel, Adelphi, Hyattsville, etc. Unfortunately, areas like Temple Hills, Forestville, Oxen Hill and the like are completely foreign to me. Sometimes, even we natives are clueless.

OK maybe for some, yet people can not speak on places they have never been, just "heard of", and that is a major theme in this thread. To me that's like saying all people in Africa live in huts and click when they speak because thats all I see on TV. I have never been there and I have sense to know thats not true.

I agree. I only try to speak of the areas I know. I live in Laurel, I like it, I haven't been a victim of crime, my kids are getting a good education, I have found affordable housing, and I have a good job. However, someone will come on here and tell me I live in a fantasy world and that I will get shot, my kids will be idiots, and I'll be living on the street because I live in PG, not because I live in Laurel. The generalizations are the problem. PG is a big county and someone's experience in Suitland does not reflect what's going on in Laurel or any other part of the county.

MOST of the people who continually downgrade PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY have never lived there. the news paints a bad picture. Half the people can't stand to see the black people living in prosperity. The worst parts of PG are close suburbs of DC. What do you expect when theres no major highway separating. Inside the beltway PG is DC Ward 9. Prince George's is not a bad place to live in I've lived everywhere from Hyattsville, to Forestville, To Seat Pleasant/Capitol Heights, to Upper Marlboro.

Stop faking..You go to Maryland U. which means you really don't live in PG. You're from Fairfax as your name states.
