mahgoa is on a distinguished road
I live in south MD towards Leonardtown. I got ripped off for my 2003 Totota 4 Runner while doing state inspection. Took $600 to register this car (insp. plus reg. fees). Additionally, the mechanic gave me an estimate of another $550 for my other car. How is this being legally allowed in this state. Most of the other states have inspection and emission done in few mins. In MD, it looks like anybody coming out of state have to go through rigourous inspection while clunkers keep driving on MD roads. I am very frustrated with this and thinking of getting my car registered in VA instead. Has anybody done this? If anybody knows of honest mechanics (which I doubt) in south MD, then please let me know. My email - mahgoa@yahoo.com Thanks Mahesh
