Let's hear your correlation, Einstein.

So which areas have the most crime and what are the demographics in those areas?

Have you nothing better to do than do bash PG County? I'm not in love with PG but it has some good qualities along with its bad like everywhere else.

Hmmm, do the math...4 years, 4 murders....that's 1 murder a year.
Someone reported that in Bowie alone, there were 25 murders last year.

If Bowie was safe, why did Bowie need to get its own police force? Why tax the residents double when the residents are already paying for county police force?
|
1. Nobody disputes that PG has more crime. Even Iscalder would not dispute that. It is not the whole PG county that has the big crime problems though.
2. Does having a police force make an area unsafe? There are local police agencies in FFX county too, you know. Maybe Bowie residents weren't satisfiied wth the way PGC Police were patrolling Bowie, so they exercised their right to create their own force. When did that become wrong?

Whoever reported that is way off. Bowie averages 1-2 murders per year. For a city of almost 60,000 people, that isn't very high.

1. The only thing that person admits too is that things couldn't be better in Bowie....everything is on the uppity up, the schools are great, elected leadership is great, don't see no crime, everybody's rich, shopping is abundant, taxes are reasonable, etc. Pipe dream.
2. Hmm, never heard of a Potomac Police Dept, or a McLean Police Dept., or a Bethesda Police Dept., or a Great Falls Police Dept. or a Chevy Chase Police Dept. or a Vienna Police Dept.
Why would PG residents want to pay more taxes than they need to already?
Don't contradict yourself. If Bowie residents felt safe, they wouldn't need to pay taxes for more police help.

What, do you want to say black people equate to crime? Don't beat around the bush.
You're already sitting behind a computer, being more annoying than anyone I've ever seen on City-Data, posting EVERY bad thing in PGC that happens.
Seriously, get a life. No place is perfect. And don't come back with the "Well if people wouldn't say PGC has no problems blah blah blah." It's annoying. I'm sure people in PGC know there's problems, as does the rest of the metropolitan area. The difference from them and you is that they don't muse over EVERY problem. They keep moving, instead of being stuck on the negatives all the time.
People on here who can actually think know that crime happens here. It may happen here more than anywhere else in the WMA. But you know what? There are safe areas as well.
Now will you go away?

Turn around and see if there's a gun pointed at your head.
If not, then nobody's asking you to read any of this.
Now will you go away?
