Default Whats up with Edgewood?

I have a job offer in Elkridge, MD and like alot of others i am trying to find a place to buy a house in an area with good schools for 200-250k. My Realtor has recommended Edgewood, I hear good and bad about the neighborhoods and schools which is to be expected. Plus it looks like you have to drive through a tunnel to get there from Elkridge. I live in hampton Roads Va and the tunnels here are a pain in the butt. Any suggestions? I have seen some nice homes in Glen Burnie and Pasadena.........

Thanks,
Jeff

I think Pasadena or Annapolis is preferable to Glen Burnie. I am not sure about Elkridge.

Edgewood, as in Harford County? Well, that's kinda far from Elkridge.. yes you'll have to take I95 and go thorugh either the Harbor or FtMcHenry tunnels every day. Traffic is a nightmare during rush hour all along the I95 stretch that's why there's a huge project to construct express lanes going on which (hopefully) will help.

I'd look closer if I were you. Look at southern Baltimore County/city or Anne Arundel or Howard counties.

Supersneaks, living in Annapolis will put you about 36 minutes from Elkridge and maybe an hour on a bad traffic day. Looks like it is right up I-97 from here. No tunnels, no beltway.

Again, why the Glen Burnie put-downs? I've lived in north GB and south GB and have never had a problem.

I have no problem with GB, it is the 89 registered sex offenders who live the that I have the problem with, compared to the 28 who are registered in Annapolis, 11 of who have moved on. If I knew of a legal way to get rid of the rest of them, they would be gone as well.
