Default got new job in Ft Meade - 45k/yr need advice for renting apartment

Hi there,

I'm going to get a job in Ft Meade with a salary of 45k yearly. I don't know the place so i need advices on finding an affordable place to live. I'm single and prefer to live in urban areas. How much is a typical 1 bedroom or studio rent in there? Is there any Asian/China town around? Thank you.

Most rent in Maryland for a 1 bedroom is around 1200 a month or more. You might try Laurel or Odenton to see if there are any apartment complexes that are fairly inexpensive.

Just curious . . . what type of job are you getting? Have been waiting four months for job offer . . . has the job list finally come out?

Unless you move to Washington, D.C or Baltimore you will not find a really urban area and you won't find a chinatown type area unless you go to D.C.
