Default Teaching in Pasadena

I will be teaching at CBMS in Pasadena next year and i am looking for a safe place to live. I would need an apt. complex or would be very happy renting part of a house. Any reccommendations for in or around pasadena? i loved the small town quiet feel of the place.

Also if anyone knows the name of the local newspaper for Pasadena so I could look in the classifieds that would be a big help!

I'd probably get a Gazette and Pennysaver to check for rentals. I can't really think of any apartments near Pasadena that I'd feel totally safe renting. I'd go the house route.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the help but what did you mean "feel totally safe"? Are there areas near Padadena that I should avoid looking in? I have already been robbed this year living in PG county, with both doors locked on my apt. with 2-4 locks per door, so I'm trying to limit the chance of that happening again.
