Well I wouldn't walk on any of the paths late at night alone. They are dark and I would imagine that would invite trouble. As far as during the day there have been transient issues in some areas at times. The best way to find out about the areas you are going to live near is to call the local police department and inquire. We have the bike path behind our house and love it the entire neighborhood here uses it all the time, and there have been no crimes in the immediate area since I moved here 10 years ago, but that doesn't mean I'd walk around late at night either.
