I have a friend who may be getting a job at PAX soon. His family will be flying in from West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale Florida to see them regularly.

I would like to see them as well. I live in Spotsylvania so I guess 301 would be my best bet in getting across to see them. (depending on where they move of course).

I am guessing that Regan/National would be the closest airport for their family to fly up and see them?

I have heard that some of the burbs a little bit north of there are a bit dangerous so I want them to avoid that.

At the same time it is a bit tough because of Regan's location and well...my location.

Any thoughts on what a good compromise would be as far as commute time and safe areas would be?

Thanks!

National is closer but BWI is easier to get to. I would assume they will want to live in either St. Mary's County or across the Thomas Johnson Bridge in Calvert County.

Use National and fly Spirit. Join there $9 club and fly for next to nothing.

I always used BWI when I lived there... My parents always use BWI to come visit me, and i live in FL now... Its just way easier to get to, in my opinion...

The best areas to live within a reasonable commuting distance to PAX are right around PAX... It is one of the nicest and safest areas in MD, in my opinion... Most people that work there live nearby...
