Salisbury isnt a bad area to live. Ive lived in the area for 2 yrs, and coming from a large city, there was a large adjustment. The beach is nearby but once you have lived here for any period of time it wont be as much of a positive as you may think. The job market is rather small and housing is expensive(in relation to the low paying jobs that are available). Other than what I consider the usuals(restaurants, movies and the mall) their isnt much for the average person to do without relying on Ocean City entertainment(which has inflated pricing and isnt yr round). On the otherhand, if you are a sportsman you have found your playground. If you are planning to live in Salisbury be aware that for a smallish city the crime level is high.

The hospitals in the area IMHO arent up to the task and I am always hearing about transporting patients to Baltimore/Philly etc. Instead of upgrading services and doctors they just transport you to a better facility, which doesnt impress me.

Overall if you are used to large city conveniences, tons of things to do yr round, cheap real estate and a high pay scale then Salisbury may not be for you. My .02.
