Default Salisbury, MD...very bad choice

If all you have to pay is $400-600 per month for rent you need to look elsewhere or be ready to live in the ghetto areas of Salisbury..like Church Street and "the reservaton" and such areas. Salisbury is has become overdeveloped (like Ocean City) however there are no jobs to support this new hous building growth. I've lived here almost 8 years and will be leaving in 2 weeks (praise GOD). With a roommate (also tricky) you might get a decent apartment. The gangs are taking over and transplants are not welcome. You are viewed as untrustworthy because you are not a native. Sometimes it's suttle but usually it's in your face. On the lower eastern shore...transplants are to be ostracized not welcomed.

Thank you so much for your reply!!!! If you suggest to not live in Salsibury, MD what part of maryland do you suggest? I will be attending the university of maryland eastern shore. So, what other cities do you suggest that is close to this school and would be a good area for me to relocate to?

try hotpads.com. It will show you the exact areas apartments are in and give you statistics about each city. I'm in the same situation...

I found this ad in my school e-mail. Not sure if it's kosher to share it here --- have no idea what these units might be like.
