I am a Realtor on the Lower Cape ... I used to Live in TN... very different in prices ... when I know what you get for your $ there .... But, if you buy here .. and buy well- the changes of the value of your house increasing are high. We are in a Buyers market now and you can get some great deals .. as low as 350k in Chatham, Brewster, Harwich .. Lower in Yarmouth! Depends on your work situation for sure .. but the Mil rate is so cheap here ... 3.50 - 5.70

It's about a blend of quality of Life .... if is is going to make you both work 16 hr days just to afford it ... well then .. that is silly ....

Default Most affordable town in MA

I have heard that Rowe has the cheapest taxes in MA, but it is a very small town, and you have to drive to Shelburne or Greenfield to shop. It is a very beautiful town, and there is a nice B and B there.
