at this time of year your mom should basically be able to walk into anyplace in falmouth and get a place for that much OR LESS. i seem to remember that there was a hotel/motel almost across from the stop and shop in falmouth advertising per week prices that are less than the ones that you have posted. if i am wrong then have your mom try the Dome hotel that is nearly in woods hole.

How long is she staying? If it's a month or longer, she could check the temporary housing listings on craigslist for places. Many of the summer rentals can be had at bargain prices now since the tourist season is over. The upside is that they are cheap any many are furnished, the downside is that they are often not built for colder weather (make sure to ask if there's heat). Here's a link to a quick search. Not that the prices are monthly unless otherwise noted. If they're asking for 6-9 months and you only want one, let them know and see if they'll accommodate you. Can't hurt.

As Oahu Dave mentioned, just check any local motel or inn. Most (if they're open longer than seasonally) will gladly accept your rate even if the posted rate (online) is higher. Just call and explain the situation and they'll generally accept. Here is a google map with a number of motels listed. Click the placemarker on the map and it'll give you a phone number and a website (if they have one). I think you should have little trouble getting what you want at this point in the year.

The Arbor Inn in Weymouth on the Hingham line seems ok. Checked it a couple of years ago, but it may have been close to $300. But as stated, negotiate.

Craigslist listed Nantasket Inn in Hull off-season for about $275 weekly last year. Drove by it, and it seemed ok.
