FWIW, I'm in my mid 20s. How old are you?

I'm really curious now. What do you/your ADD daughter want for entertainment? There's a fitness center, a pool, video game tournaments, plays, musicals, guest speakers, dozens and dozens of clubs, pig roasts, volunteering etc. and that's JUST on campus.

We're not Boston/NYC. That's a good thing.

Spoken like a true scholar and snob.

The Political Science Club and Conservative Union put it on every year as a ceremonial roasting of the political pig.

As a matter of fact, the Political Pig Roast took place this past week as reported by the MCLA Beacon:

Sorry I missed it.

It will take a long time before they are at the same pace as the more eastern towns go but I don't really see that being a bad thing. If you like the outdoors and small town America, you will more than likely enjoy most of what the North Adams area has to offer. I have never spent a lot of time there but from the outside looking in, I would describe it as an old mill town.
so the new money and traffic, the subdevelopers chewing up and spitting out cookie cutters...oh never mind...

What's with the hostility? Just know that I'm nowhere NEAR "grandpa" age, but I AM from the south, and we southerners say "heck" a lot.

Just what would have been on your priority list of things to do as a 20-year undergrad? (partying, drinking & partying are not options).

mclagrad, what you have there in North Adams is beautiful, I love your enthusiasm! (Boston really sucks as a place to be if you're into small towns, I survived there for almost a year, LOL)
