Does your daughter have a learning disorder? I have a friend who went there because they were able to help her w/her dyslexia. She always raves about how the school turned her life around. She still couldn't read when she was 14, but then her parents enrolled her at The Carroll School and now she's about to finish up college, etc..

I would think it would be the opposite- public schools would not be the best option- private schools that specialize in learning disorders would be better. I think there are a great many specialized schools in the area that would be more beneficial to her and you as a parent.

Carroll School is a school for dyslexia and other language based learning disabilities. i believe the school is in a section of the public Lincoln High School. The other wonderful private school for dyslexia and language based learning around here is Landmark which has a separate Elementary and High School located in Beverly Farms and Manchester. Email for more info if you want.

It looks like a private school, here's the website:

The Carroll School

I don't know if it goes beyond middle school.
