Default Worcester or Boston?

Hi all,

I am a 25yo getting back into the swing of things with school. I will be starting college from scratch this fall- did some major slacking off after high school that I am not proud of, but better late than never. I currently live in Lowell, MA and work in Nashua, NH at the Hospital. The tentative plan is to attend Worcester State College as a freshman majoring in Chemistry- live in Worcester, but make the commute to Nashua, NH 3 nights a week for work (S,M,Sat). I can probably find employment in Worcester, but the pay would not be as much as I make in NH. My only concern is- how is the nightlife in Worcester for a single 25yo male?

Plan B is going to Suffolk University majoring in Radiation Biology and living in/around the Boston area, also making the commute to NH. I am familiar with the nightlife in Boston and I would rather enjoy Boston more than Worcester, but the COL and tuition for SU is like watching Nightmare on Elm St. for the first time as a child- terrifying!. Also, just took up mountain biking as a sport and would like to know of any trails around Worcester. Wachusett is 20 min away from Worcester that is a plus in the winter. I do own a car, but I will only use it only for work and other errands that requires using a car. Most likely, I will use a bike for commuting.

Other info: Rent can be an issue. Max rent is $800, but will pay slightly more if a better opportunity arises.

Thanks for reading this post. Responses will be greatly appreciated.
