Default South Coast is easier to drive to and much cheaper

Have you looked at Mattapoisett, Marion, Westport, So. Dartmouth? They're located on Buzzards Bay, so the water is clean and warm - lots of sailing and fishing, plus lots of great restaurants. There is no traffic to speak of and there are lots of cute beach communities. Cottages can still be purchased for under $350,000, only steps to the beaches.
