Marblehead High
If anyone has any first or second hand information on the quality of education at Marblehead High School, please let me know. I already have the info from greatschools and other websites. Just want personal experience at this point because we would like to live there but not sure if the high school is the right choice. Thank you in advance!

Hey puffle, just saw this in the Globe.
Marblehead - The Boston Globe
It's not much, but it does offer a small snapshot of the town.

marblehead is a great community , but I prefer Winchester, since I live here. Winchester has some of the best schools in the country.
marblehead is good too - it is right on the ocean too and close to salem...- A bit out of the way tho if you're trying to commute into Boston.
Can be a bit of a haul....-
I'd suggest looking into Winchester or Wakefield

puffle, you're everywhere on this site.
Greatschools is a good site, but don't be afriad to look into the state's DOW site ( Massachusetts Department of Education). They post the MCAS rankings, which may help you determine where you want to go.

Puf- are you still considering Marblehead, or have you moved on as I think I remember...?
Any luck with your husband's trip here?

Thanks for asking pjscdn(what does this mean?) and Ny. Nothing closed yet...that's what I hate about his business. It's hurry up and wait and being self-employed, well.... Would be happy in any of the nicer areas at this point. I just feel like getting a map, throw a dart and pick a place. Been very busy enrolling my son into a homeschool program and looking for a full time job. Between the homeschooling, working and taking care of a house and four dogs, I don't know if there will be anything left of me to move!

I hear ya Puffle. We were hoping things would shake out for us by now wrt NC, but I've heard nothing past the last "encouraging" email from the company I interviewed with earlier this summer. Who knows what they're doing. In the meantime, I've got a 16 year old who has already started football practice and starts 11th grade in 2 weeks. I think my window of opportunity is gone.
Our next hope is for hubby to be the "scout team" and try to come up with something--hopefully in the Raleigh area but I'm open to Charlotte too, especially since he has a finance background. Assuming it takes him 6 months or more to land something, he could go down first, we could all join him over the summer and then I would leave the younger two there and come back with my oldest for the start of his senior year and stay with him until all his college apps are in. Then we have friends who have volunteered to host him for 4 months or so until he finishes school.
It sounds good on paper, at least....

[quote=puffle;1322347]Thanks for asking pjscdn(what does this mean?)
It doesn't mean anything really..just personal significance. It's a login name I've used for years, so I remember it at various sites I visit. And, what exactly is a 'puffle'??????
