Default Commute from Southern NE to South Station?

Does anyone have experience with a commute from the Portsmouth/Tiverton RI area to South Station? Looks like driving to Middleboro or Providence and then commuter rail to South Station is the best way. I used to drive to Boston (Financial district) occasionally but now need a more dependable (daily) commute option.

Can you go from Fall River or New Bedford? Otherwise, you would have to drive into Providence or South Attleboro MA I believe. Check the Amtrak website or call South Station.

your best bet would be to drive up Route 24 to the Lakeville MBTA station. That is the closet MBTA stop for you other than Providence. Check out the MBTA.com commuter rail site for schedule and fare.

What a horrible commute! I have to agree with Mr2448. Your most "convenient" stop would probably be Middleborough/Lakeville.
MBTA > Schedules & Maps > Commuter Rail > Kingston/Plymouth & Middleborough/Lakeville <br/>(Old Colony Lines)
