Hello everyone,
My wife and I live in Quincy as of now. I recently got a great job in Holyoke, MA. My wife is a pharmacy student in Boston and is about to start her rotations. Almost all of her rotation locations are in Boston. My work hours are from 630 AM - 430 PM.
We would prefer not to live separately. We have looked at Worcester as a potential location in between Holyoke and Boston. Her commute will be almost 1.5 hours and mine will be slightly over an hour. We are just trying to find any other alternative. I am not sure how practical it will be to drive that much especially during the winter months, rising gas prices among others.
So please provide us with some more suggestions. We really appreciate your help.

Your commute will probably end up being longer than your wife's. What a sad situation, when people have to commute more than an hour every day just to get to work! It is so common, these days...

The west side of Worcester is very nice and your wife could take the commuter rail into Boston, which is much easier than the turnpike.
You wouldn't deal with much traffic heading west, especially at that hour of the AM, but the pike can be murder going into Boston at rush hour.
