Default Different neighborhoods in Hingham?

Hi, we're looking to relocate (from Cape Cod) to Hingham (also on the hopper are Cohasset, Norwell & Scituate, but at this point we're leaning towards Hingham because of the school system, the downtown center and cultural offerings, commuting convenience/choices, it being coastal and historic, etc.) From work colleagues and others, we've learned that "Hingham is less of a 'town' and more of a 'network of neighborhoods' - that it's the neighborhoods that define the sense of each community."

So, wondering if there are any Hinghamites or other informants out there who share this perspective (yes or no), and if yes, whether any one can suggest what defines one Hingham neighborhood from another. If this helps: my husband and I have two young children entering K and 2nd grade; we are more prone to a less-busy, more of a secluded life when we're not working though we relish a sense of a close-knit community; and we enjoy outdoor life.

We appreciate any one's thoughts.
