Default How is the Georgetown, MA school system?

Hi,
We are considering moving to Georgetown and wanted information on the school system. How are the schools?

Have you considered Merrimac, Ma as it is part of the Pentucket School district which is outstanding. Merrimac is a quaint town with lots of town events geared toward children.

I've always heard very good things about Georgetown schools, and have friends whos kids have gone through the system, and are now in college. A high percentage of GHS students continue their education...

Summerdays (love that nickname!) mentioned the Pentucket district, which is right next door, and includes the towns of W. Newbury, Merrimac and Groveland. All very desirable communities that are along the Merrimac River. Easy access to the seacoast, and Route 95 to get to Boston, White Mountains or Maine.

Whittier Tech is also available to any of those towns (along with many others) as the technical high school for those students chosing to learn a trade before or rather than, attending college.

Please feel free to ask any questions on these different towns... I just love the area

I've always heard good things about Georgetown schools. I went to Pentucket. I prefer schools that are not regional. Georgetown has a cute little downtown and 2 exits to Rt 95.

I had two nieces graduate Georgetown High and they both did very well. I also have another sister that just moved to Georgetown because the schools are good. I respect her opinion on this one because she is a teacher. She is in the Newburyport School system but wanted Georgetown for her kids.......

I've heard great things about Georgetown Schools.. it's got that small town feel.. My cousins and my Mother actually all graduated from Georgetown all went on to earn their degrees and claimed their experiences with the schools was a good one.

Georgetown schools are awesome! They are there FOR the kids and anything and everything a kid could possibly need, want and deserve from a school system.
