Default Best Places in MA for a young family

Hi,

I am newly engaged and trying to narrow down my search for where to eventually purchase a home. I am currently renting in Quincy and my FI and I are both originally from Braintree. We both work in Downtown Boston. We would prefer something in Norfolk or Plymouth County I think. But would be open to other places if it was the right fit. We would be looking to eventually spend no more than $300k on a house, which I know isn't a lot in Massachusetts (although more than it was 5 years ago). Any suggestions for nice, safe areas that would fit this bill? We don't have children now but would hope to in a couple of years.

As you said $300K can be tough to find closer to Boston, but maybe Walpole? It's a nice town, lots of younger families, highly rated schools, activities for kids, something of a downtown, train to Boston.
