I am new here. I just found this. My family and I are currently living in the midwest. My hubby is originally from MA. He grew up in the Rockland area. He has been dying to move back to MA for about 2-3 years now. He has turned me into a diehard red Sox fan, and has gotten me to agree to move. I am looking for anyone who can offer advice on moving to MA. I am just trying to gather up as much information as I can. Anything that you could contribute would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Where in the mid-west are you moving from? I'm in Plymouth (5 years) after spending 17 years on Cape Cod. We're planning on moving to Oklahaoma (wanna trade?).

Just spent the day in Hingham for the first time yesterday. Great family town, especially with smaller children. Everywhere I looked young children were playing in their yards. It is very suburban with nice, but expensive shops and has a large outdoor shopping mall on Derby St. Very picturesque. You could get a nice rental there for around $2000 or less...easier if you don't have dogs. Very safe feel to it and great for the family during the summer. For me, it was just a little to far South for me.
