Spend a weekend in Rhode Island, take in Newport (mansions, cliffwalk, and historic seaport) , and then have an Italian dinner in Providence on Federal Hill.

I can't imagine moving from New England to New Mexico but I will give you this...you are living. Way to go and good luck to you on your next adventure. So many don't experience what you are doing. That is a shame.

Lived in Mass. most of my life. The Land of Enchantment is calling, visited in March and it's been tugging at my heartstrings ever since. I always get questioned on my move from a rational point of view. I'm going with my heart though, this will be an excellent change for me.

Lowell has the Mills Historic park, which is a Must see.

Problem with Bar Harbor is that you cant get they-uh from hee-uh all too easily. In New England terms, its a hike.
