Casey: Yes, I've been rude. Primarily because I have been in a crappy mood the last two days, and it seems glaringly obvious that something is not right about this person's posting. Just think about it: how can somebody who claims to have visited Boston also claim not to realize that Boston is not 35 minutes from Vermont or claim never to have heard of the term "New England"? Why does that bother me so much, why have I been relentlessly dogging this person? Because I'm an obsessive idiot, that's why. And I think, for the sake of everyone, I will stay off the forum for the rest of the day.

NY'er lost in MA will become famous soon enoughNY'er lost in MA will become famous soon enoughNY'er lost in MA will become famous soon enough
is it time for some of us to read the policies for this forum?? Maybe!

Or is it time for the little babies to take a nap because they, boo hoo, are in a bad mood?

Grow up people! Seriously- LET IT GO. Breath...relax. People make spelling errors too. Exhale....there we go. Time for peace.

IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE TREAD THEN DON'T READ OR REPLY. It's pretty simple actually.

Now have a good weekend and DON'T let the NY'er see another stupid post!

You know what...you are totally right. I tried to ignore this post but got weak and put in my two cents. Next time I promise to be stronger and look the other way. Apologies.

I have just one observation......

If I was in the position to be able to easily afford a $10m++ house, would I really be that bothered about how expensive the gardening service was??

But hey, maybe thats just me.

I believe I admitted that I was being ridiculous. So what's the problem? BTW: MA folks don't take orders from NYers.

hey, the richest people in the world still want to pay for expenses like the rest of us...they just don't want to pay more because they are rich!!! (should they pay five times as much as we do for cable because they are rich?? or should they pay 29.95 like the rest of us??)

Where did I say they should pay more?

We have a decent income and I would not base my decision on where to buy groceries on the price of the milk in each store. Accordingly, if I had the millions the OP has, I would not worry about the price of gardening service.

That's all. A simple observation.

what i mean by this is just because you have a lot of money doesn't mean you shouldn't question day to day expenses....

just because i can afford a new car doesn't mean i shouldn't ask how much it would cost to maintain.....

Default I started it

I started the whole controversy by asking if P-Man was for real. I would have thought not if he had disappeared from the forum but he's been right in the thick of it all along so I guess he is. One could have a very substantial sum to spend on New England real estate if one had bought and sold in Knightsbridge or wherever at the right times--people come by money in all sorts of ways. Interesting question about what people know and don't know and what it takes for them to know it. Moving Forward assumes people know they're in N. E. if they visit Boston-- I suppose they do, but how many people know where N. E. stops and some other region begins? I live in N. Y., where a lot of people seem to think NYS is part of New England, or maybe that eastern N. Y. is in New England. I learned something I never knew while visiting the Vatican a few years ago when I saw a Renaissance period mural showing a map of North America. The map showed New England and New Scotland both in Latin and I realized that Nova Scotia is New Scotland. Now how many of us know that?

You must not have had to read Evangeline when you were in high school! Seriously, I think most New Englanders, at least the native ones, probably know that.
