My husband and I are interested in N. Attleboro currently. We have a small daughter 2 who would be closer to 3 1/2 if we moved. Could you guys tell me a little about the town. How safe is it? How are jobs in the area. My husband is in law enforcement right now but also currently getting is degree in Business. I myself am about to graduate culinary school in the next 8 weeks. He's not opposed to going into law enforcement for a while but would eventually like to use his degree in something. How are the schools in the are? Is it an expensive area relatively speaking to the rest of mass? If we were to rent our budget would be about $1,100 a month and to buy eventually probably around $200,000. We love towns like Danvers and Salem but I think they're out of our price range. Also whats the commute like into Boston and RI? Thanks for your help!

oh and if you have any suggestions for us as far as other towns let us know! Thanks

Law enforcement jobs are very hard to come by in both MA and RI right now.

^Yes go ahead and check out the previous thread on NA, it should answer some of your questions. It's a good family town, I'd recommend it. The big question is employment. Since you don't seem so sure about it, I'm wondering how you became set on this town? I'd say the job situation is typical for the area ie. not great. You do have easy access to both the Boston and Providence job markets however. Housing is about average for MA. You could find something in your price range, just not very much (although certainly habitable). I wouldn't think Danvers and Salem are much different though.
