So, why would you choose Lowell over any other city in MA? BTW, this thread is a year old.

kbhit is on a distinguished road
- convenient location to my work
- convenient access to train to Boston for other household members work
- convenient access to highways (3, 495, 93)
- lower taxes (more cash flow)
- living on the river
- lots of urban parks on the river
- plenty of different ethnic restaurants around the corner
- close to NH for snowboarding & quick to get at northshore beaches
- really cool history
- lots of events - tsongas arena and merrimack rep
- easy access to continuing education at UMass Lowell

I do love other towns in Massachusetts and would easily live in them if my work was closer - Newton is lovely. The first two are the big kickers. Just would really hate for others to be turned away by some nasty comments. Cities are definitely not for everybody and Mass. is fortunate enough to have a lot of nice towns around.
