New England Atmosphere
Hello - I will be getting married next fall and have been trying to search for the place with the perfect atmosphere. I would love to find a quaint old fashioned farm with apple orchard if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations? Ideally, I'd like something non commercial, historic, with that earthy picnic in the orchard feel.
If anyone has any suggestions for a small, quaint, country, catholic church I would appreciate those as well.
Thanks so much for your help...I am out of the area and it's so difficult to rely on internet searches!
Jennifer

It's not an apple orchard, but a friend of mine got married at the Martha Mary Chapel in Sudbury, and took pics at the nearby Longfellow's Wayside Inn. Check out their website, it is an absolutely georgous spot!

Are you intersted in all of New England, or just Massachusetts?
If you'd consider Vermont, check this place out: Round Barn Farm, a Vermont bed and breakfast in lovely Waitsfield VT
I just went with a friend to check it out as a possible wedding venue for her, and it is absolutely gorgeous.

This is an apple orchard and winery where they host wedding receptions.
We used to take our kids there to pick apples.

Here's another option on Cape Cod. It's a beautiful spot.

Consider Fruitlands, in Harvard, Mass. They have 230 acres, four little museums, and a wonderful main house area. A friend of mine played chamber music for many weddings there. Fruitlands is the site of Bronson Alcott's commune experiment (it failed) and one of the museums is a house that the Alcotts lived in and items related to Louisa May Alcott.
Harvard is about 30 miles NW of Boston, so people coming from out of town could get there relatively easily. It's a gorgeous place.
