When are you planning your move?
I private messaged you. Next year we are planning our move, but that depends if my house sells. The market is so bad out here right now. Since MA is so expensive and I am moving from AZ which is not as expensive, I have to get the most out of my house when I sell. Also, with 3 kids, 2 dogs and a cat, 2 gerbils and grandma, I need a large house. I think, as sad as it is, I will be leaving the animals with my brother. He has a lot of land and I am sure we could never rent with them. I love them but with 3 kids I am so busy, and they can be a bit of a mess and I am a clean freak. It will probably be easier on both of us. The dear tick thing worries me a bit too. I don't have time to check them for ticks all the time, etc.lol After following your post, I realized something of mine was going to have to give. And it couldn't be grandmother! lol

Twiggy, Although you certainly have a housefull, two dogs should not be a problem, most places take a cat, and the gerbil, well his has a cage. Now Grandma, that is another story! I am assuming you will be renting since you are concerned about the critters. As far as ticks go, they have great monthly medication for that and it works just fine. You have to check the kids too though. The first week that we lived in Ma. my son came to me complaining of his back hurting. I looked at the spot he pointed at and was astounded at the creature buried halfway into his back! Talk about an OH MY GOD experience! It was so far in that we had to take him to the emergency room to have a Doctor take it out. I won't go into the details but it was pretty traumatic, but never happened again. Usually it may occur if you are standing or playing on a tree or playing in the woods.
Is your work taking you to Ma. or your husband's? Any idea of where?
