Question Safety around Dyer Avenue in Milton, MA

Hi All,

I just looked at a first floor apartment (2 family home) in Milton on Dyer Avenue. The neighborhood appeared to be solidly middle class. The houses were in pretty good condition, yet the one next door is a foreclosure. It kind of reminded me of a Waltham neighborhood, with a little more space between houses.

My only concern is this address is not too far from Mattapan for addresses in Milton. Does anyone have any knowledge of this particular neighborhood in terms of safety? Does Milton have a lot of break-ins around this area?

Thanks for the help!
