Soon
It will be a few weeks until we really get the foiliage going into full color. There are trees here and there changing right now, the confused ones... I can post some for you when they start changing. I'm in a great area for foiliage pictures.

Well it dropped to 41 degrees here this morning- I actually turned the heat on here in Connecticut- up north it may have dropped to freezing in some places.
Though by Thursday it will be near 80 again. Trees are slowly changing color here in CT- but we are a month away from peak color.

Columbus Day weekend is usually when we start harvesting cranberry's down here and we're usually the last to see the foliage. The local news outlets generally will broadcast a peak foliage alert on every newscast and they haven't begun yet. Don't worry! We'll send you lots of pics!

I am in North Adams, MA and this was the second day the morning low hit the upper 30's. It set off the beginning of the changes here, and on my walk along the Hoosac River there were already some yellows and reds in evidence. The mountains were no longer their uniform green but showing slight variations.
Funny how a few nights with low temps are what sets off the fall season even if the calendar still says summer.
Daytime is in the low 70's today, and expected to hit high 80's later this week. But what has begun is the hint of fall.

You just gave me the biggest chuckle Twiggy! So funny. Wish I could say I can relate but it has been great here the last few days...low sixties in the am and high 70's in the afternoon. May even have this wet stuff I have heard stories about falling from the sky tomorrow!

I love the fall foiliage too.... so silvery and shiny on one side, a matte gray-silver color on the other, flexible yet strong.
And then when it falls to the ground you can use it to line your turkey roasting pan on Thanksgiving.
And unlike leaves, you don't pay to have it hauled away, they pay you to take it!
