Default Moving to Groton, MA this summer

My family is relating to Groton from NJ. What is the middle school like? I would like my 10 year old daughter to attend NDA in Tyngsboro but my husband would like to send her to GDMS. She'll be entering the 5th grade. I am a little concerned that the middle school is 5th-8th. I think it will be too overwhelming for her. We also need afterschool care - does the middle school offer that?
What else do we need to know about Groton?

I really do not know too much about Groton. I live one town over. It's schools are very highly regarded in the area. NDA is a very good school too. Plus Lawrence Academy in Groton center is not too shabby, plus the Groton School is in town. Not too sure how good The Groton School really is as I have heard rumors it is where the wealthy send their kids when the better schools have kicked them out.

Not aware of of any of this? What news and in which surrounding towns? That whole area is generally very quiet.

This area is beyond quiet! Seriously though not sure what other towns you mean. I live in Townsend it is very very safe. Groton itself borders no cities or even "rough" towns. Dunstable is rural and expensive ditto for Westford. Pepperell is more working class but still very nice and very low crime.
