We're relocating from Chicagoland for a job in Shrewsbury. We have been unable to sell our house here, so we're planning to rent for a year or so. Can anyone tell me about Millbury? Or is there a better, family-oriented place nearby? We have small children.
Thanks! |

Better choices are Northborough and Shrewsbury itself. Northborough was actually #2 on our list, but we ended up closer to Boston because we work in the city.. |

Millbury is an okay town. It is quite a bit more affordable than other nearby towns because as it was already sorta mentioned on this post, it is more blue collar than most towns but it is safe and the school system is pretty good. You might want to try Sutton, just one town over. It is a more rural town but still close to shopping in Millbury and aside from its picturesque New England village, alot of the roads are quite scenic. It also has a nice dairy farm where you can get milk and produce.
