Default Main street in Reading

Is the ''Main street'' in Reading is a noisy street? Anyone can comment on it?

someone told me today, that if that road is to be built bigger in future, they will get the those houses evacuated for construction. Is this something common?

Default It's two lanes in both directions, speed limit is 40mph.

It is the main road that everyone travels to get to 128 & 93. It is a highway (IMO). It is very very busy. The only way I'd live there is if someone gave me the house. But everyone has their own personal preferences. Might be best to travel the road at different times of the day, to see if it is something you can live with.

Have you been there?

Main Street is Route 28, it is a heavily traveled road, particularly during the morning and evening commuting periods. I would advise against purchasing a house on Main Street.

Ha Ha. ..I understand because I've been to New Delhi!!! That being said, I still wouldn't buy a house on Rt 28 in Reading. When working in your budget I would go with a smaller house in a quieter neighborhood. Just a better investment in so many ways. And a much more enjoyable environment...Good luck to you!!
