I'm looking for some suggestions for neighborhoods that are accessible by public trans (willing to travel one hour+ in exchange for lower rent and a yard). Looking to work at Brigham & Women's and would like to rent a pet friendly(two cats) home or apt and stay in the 1000 - 1200 range. Would like something more quiet than night life area. Need to move immediately, if not sooner.

malissajo,

One suggestion is to get a map of the Transit system. The one that includes the purple line and seeing what community may be suitable as well as an hour + in travel. I tried that once when I had to move from Boston and it helped me.

Thanks. I have added that to my search tools. I've also figured out who the scammers are and starting to get a feel for the area.
I was hoping for some information about communities that isn't included in the city's official website.

Thanks again
M

They send an overly elaborate tale of serving a call from God to go on a Mission to afrika. I got the same basic story from two different postings. It's really quite sad that enough ppl would FALL for it that it makes it worth the work for them.

Yeah, I would avoid those when looking for an apartment in Boston.
