If you can afford it, take a ride down Belknap Road and surrounding subdivisions. I used to live there a very very nice place.

Default framingham ma - warren oaks area-safe or not?

Hi,
We fell in love with a house in the Warren Oaks area of Framingham (Dennison ave.) and wondered if anyone had any advice as to the safety of the neighborhood? We don't have children but may in thefuture. Is it possible to raise a family in this area? Thanks for any input! Christine

I think that if you are looking to buy in Framingham, you'd want to concentrate on areas north of Rte. 9, they are safer.

I second the motion. I drive around there all the time and those houses are nice looking and well-maintained.

Go to Craiglist Boston, click on bmw (metrowest), search apts/housing for rent. In the choice boxes, put in the town and the number of bedrooms, and read what comes up.

Be sure to click on the map link in the ad, if there is one, so you can check out the location of the place on Google maps.

Personally, I'd stay away from downtown Framingham and from the area of Framingham that borders Ashland (a town I suggest you look at -- it takes about 20 min to get to shopping areas in Framingham from there during non-rush hours).

Repeat this process for every town you are interested in.

If you can avoid it, do not pay a broker's fee.
