I have found the summers here to be increasingly humid/grey, if not hot, over almost 40 years here. My dream would be to go someplace else for the summer, unlike most New Englanders, who hate the winters (increasingly mild, I think).
Funny that you should say that because my in-laws, from South Florida, come HERE (well, the Berkshires) for the summer. THIS is their reprieve. It's all relative, I suppose.

I hate this heat!! For today and tomorrow, I'm giving my dogs their extended outside play time at 6am.

Good idea. My dog loves being outside, but I just won't let him stay out for as long as he'd like. I know it's bad when he starts digging a hole in the dirt so that he can find a cool spot, but, even with that, it's a struggle to get him back inside to the central air. Stubborn mutt, he is.

This is one of the holes that he dug for coolness.

Welp it's 8:15am and almost 85 degrees outside. I'm in for the day!

Many years ago, I adopted a terrier mix that I found in Altanta. She loved baking in the sun on my lawn. It could be 90 degrees out and she'd still be happy out there. I'd check on her once in a while for signs of life, and she'd always give me this disgusted and resentful look when I disturbed her nap.

Default I'm with the summer haters!!

WAY too hot! At least at my work we have AC, but not at home, just fans. No ducts (old house) and other kinds of AC just means constant runs to reset the breakers over and over!

If I had my way, Spring would go straight to Fall and skip right over all this heat!

I love this song! It's one of my favorites, and it brings fond memories of the way music was when I was a teenager, in the 1960's!

Thank goodness the super-hot weather's over with! I like it from the 60's through the mid 80's. (the temperatures, that is!)
