You are a sweet heart for looking. We need at least a two bedroom plus den as there are three of us. We saw a few in Newton, in fact, hubby saw one today that would take pets because the place was a piece of crap. He has seen nice ones too, but the bedrooms are ridiculous. How do you guys manage to fit a queen bed with decent size furniture in a 11x11 bedroom with a teeny tiny closet for two people?

Not a regular poster to this thread, but wanted to point out that even if Puffle was to look at condos to buy, many condo associations will limit how many dogs can live in a unit. Look carefully...

Another thought -- maybe you can buy a condo, and that way you won't have to worry.

I just wanted to make it clear that I am not looking for sympathy here. I know many of the people on this forum have followed my journey of trying to get to Ma. for some time now and just wanted to give a progress report or lack thereof, for those that do care. I know the facts of renting and buying have done both and I know the laws for all of the towns that we are interested in regarding the amount of dogs that are allowed. I have done my homework thoroughly but just as you wouldn't get rid of your children if you constantly ran into adult only buildings, I will not get rid of my dogs either as they are a very important part of our family and have been for years. Ok, I am done ranting now.lol.

I know of a small 3bdrm 1 bath ranch house in Sudbury that was available for rent and ok with pets. I can't seem to find the owner's number but she did have the house listed for sale awhile ago with Laura Palumbo Meier at Black Horse Realty (508) 208-5215. She might be able to tell you if it's still available for rent. However, I don't think it had a fenced yard so don't know if that's an issue for you.
Did your hubby check out that place I sent you in Lynnfield? I know it's small but at least they seem accomodating about dogs, and it's a great town.
Best of luck! Don't give up hope. We've rented numerous times with cats and never had a problem finding a place.

As someone who rents a small one bedroom apartment out, I would much rather have pets than have children upstairs from me.

I so wish more people had your attitude towards these critters who depend on us and give so much. Good luck.

UPDATE: Husband just visited a rental in Chesnut Hill on a very charming, quiet street but so close to everything including the T from different areas. They talked terms, and we can move in either the 1st or wait to the 10th and save about $580. These are the words I have been waiting to hear..."it's yours".
