Default Ipswich info

Can anyone tell me about Ipswich?? My husband and I are very seriously thinking of moving there. I hear the schools are good and there seems to be so much to do! The beach is incredible and I saw lots of conservation land for hiking, etc. The town seemed a little small, and I worry about feeling a little isolated. Are there a lot of community organizations and activities for young kids?? Any info would be great!!

We just moved from Florida to Ipswich & are living in my Uncle's house in until our house sells in Florida. It is definitely a small town & I do feel a little isolated but mostly because it is so different from what I came from. It is quite a drive to find any decent grocery store or shopping (at least 20 min.) but the drive sure is beautiful. Depending on how young your kids are there is a fantastic place called Birth to Three (playgroups, etc). It is free for Ipswich residents and I have been meeting a lot of wonderful people.

I like Ipswich. I've spent many summers on Crane Beach.

Yup, Birth To Three is what I was thinking of! And this: Ipswich, MA - Events, Reviews, Coupons, Classifieds & More - Every Local Powered Community News & Information (broken link)

For stores you will probably go to North Beverly, Danvers or Rowley.

Woodman's for fried clams and steamed lobster! Yummy! Also lots of antique stores in the area.
